Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was a prominent Bangladesh Awami League Politician. He also served as a freedom fighter in the Liberation war of Bangladesh. He was a former Jatiya Sangsad member who represented the Chittagong-12 Constituency. He was born on May 1, 1945, in Chittagong. He was born and reared in a wealthy family.
