8 Foods To Boost Immunity
Having strong immunity is the need for the hour. A strong and healthy immune system helps in protecting against disease, fighting infections, and reducing the impact of catching highly infectious diseases. Top foods to boost immunity are easy to get and are around us pretty much all the time.
Below is the list of 10 foods to boost immunity in the times of Corona. Try to eat at least one per day.
Papaya

Papaya is loaded with vitamin C. It contains Potassium, Vitamin B, Vitamin A, Anti-oxidants, and Folate all of which are good for boosting immunity.
Garlic

Garlic adds a unique taste to food and also helps in boosting immunity. People from ages have used garlic for its medicinal properties to treat flu and the common cold. Garlic contains Calcium, Potassium, and a good amount of Sulfur compounds. It is a powerful food to fight against any type of bacteria and infection. It is recommended to consume raw garlic for maximum benefits. I like to call garlic my immunity lightening bulb.
Green Tea

Green tea is known for its medicinal properties and is a healthy beverage packed with flavonoids and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) which are powerful antioxidants that enhance the immune system. L – Theanine, one of the important amino acid compounds present in green tea which aids in the production of germ-fighting compounds in the body.
Broccoli

Broccoli is one of the healthiest vegetable. Broccoli is charged with vitamins and minerals like Vitamin A, C, E and a range of antioxidants and fiber. Vitamin C and antioxidant sulforaphane present in Broccoli makes it powerful to boost immunity level. It is recommended to cook broccoli as little as possible, just quick steam or sauté is all it takes to make it ready to eat.

Spinach

Spinach contains Vitamin C, antioxidants, and beta carotene that increase bacteria-fighting ability. Spinach also contains good amount of Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Vitamin A, and Flavonoids that are necessary for a good immune system. Eating raw spinach is recommended and can be eaten in the form of salad to get maximum benefit.

Red Bell Pepper

Red bell pepper is an excellent addition to a healthy diet. Like broccoli and spinach red bell pepper contains a good amount of beta carotene which is a great immunity booster. Stir fry or roasting are the best ways to consume red bell pepper to sustain its nutrients.
Apple

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apple contains Vitamin A, C, B1, and B2 which are essential for increasing immunity levels. Apple contains polyphenols which have many health benefits. Soluble fiber present in apple help in weight loss and improving gut health.
