On July 25, 2017, Warner Brothers posted a new Justice League trailer on YouTube. It was so successful that it made the hashtag #JLEmotion went viral.
On July 26, fans of DC Comics and the movie shared the hashtag to see how many times the trailer had been watched and shared across social media.
As of posting, this new trailer was viewed more than 33.2 million times and had been shared over a million times. As of the writing of this article, the trailer is still trending.
Why is the Justice League trailer so popular? Let’s find out!
What makes it a great trailer?
The new trailer released a new character that the fans have never seen before.
If you have followed all the superhero movies of recent years, you probably already think that Henry Cavill should play Superman.
He is Superman, after all. Although other actors like Tom Welling played a part in The CW Television series, most fans have always thought he was the best person to play the character.
It is very accurate that Cavill has given a great interpretation of Superman, the character that saved the world, but we did not have a new superhero. That is why the new character, Wonder Woman, is so important.
A great visual effects team of Warner Brothers has also helped, making it seem that Wonder Woman is as powerful as the three other Justice League members.
At the end of the trailer, she shoots an arrow that hits the chest of someone in a van. And on top of that, she has a battle-ax. And when she falls to the ground, she does not move.
With a look of determination, Wonder Woman will come to help the other heroes.
The trailer gives us a sneak peek of the visual effects team behind the movie and Warner Brothers studio.
It is possible to see the work of several VFX companies, including one of the prominent artists of Star Wars and Game of Thrones, Industrial Light, and Magic.
The trailer looks better than the previous trailers and has a significant visual effect.
Some people have even noticed that the teaser released on July 11, 2017, looks better than the first teaser and that they are working on the same type of effects, but this time there is a little more detail. For instance, Wonder Woman has white wings.
Finally, the trailer was only 14 seconds and made it easier for the visual effects to be used. It is also possible to see that Wonder Woman is fighting alongside Batman and Superman since we see the same fight from both perspectives.
For example, from Superman’s perspective, we can see Wonder Woman fighting alongside the heroes. But we can also see that Batman, and later Superman, have their back to us.
Storyline And Character Development
We are living with a review of the Warner Brothers DC movie “Justice League” starring the ever-charismatic Will Smith, his ever-appealing Ben Affleck, and their newly launched super-team of DC Comics characters.
The film’s basic storyline is that of a super-villain in possession of a weapon of mass destruction is caught by the super-heroes, and is brought to a secret laboratory where all of the Justice League members are brought in to interrogate the villain.
However, at the same time, the villain also has a way of breaking through the walls of this secret lab and kills the leader of the League, Batman.
With a story structure that is almost the polar opposite of “The Avengers,” the story structure of the “Justice League” movie is pretty much the same as most superhero movies.
For those who didn’t care about “The Avengers,” this movie is not for you. For the rest of you, you’ll find this movie an entertaining and reasonably light-hearted adventure that brings out many comic book characters and makes them even more exciting.
The first thing that you’ll notice in this movie is the cinematography. While the quality isn’t the greatest that you’ll find in Hollywood movies, the way it is captured and edited together is quite fantastic.
It’s evident that Christopher Nolan is a big fan of this kind of editing, and he’s able to use it to his advantage to create an exciting and fun movie.
For those of you that are already a fan of comic books, the storyline is pretty simple. You’re given a little back story of the main characters and their relationships with one another.
When we first meet The Flash, he’s pretty cocky and thinks he’s more intelligent than the other League members.
We see how his relationships develop with Batman and Wonder Woman, and they do eventually work out.
For those of you that love the Wonder Woman character, she is the complete opposite of what you’d expect. In the Justice League, she is the most serious and even kind of gruff with the others.
This allows the other characters to take on some of the more risque personalities that the Wonder Woman character would probably be entirely against.
Ben Affleck is the Batman. With a slightly reminiscent look of Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker, he can display strength and compassion.
You can also expect a hilarious cameo from a comedian that you’re familiar with. And no one knows who it is except those of us in the know, and he’s not even the movie’s main character. It’s great!
While I’m still kind of disappointed that the villain isn’t a comic book character, it’s not a deal-breaker because there’s something about the way the movie is told that makes up for that.
I will give a big shout-out to the music department in this movie because their composition was excellent.
Most of the time, in a superhero movie, the music doesn’t have much to do with the story, but this one works.
Everything from the opening theme song to the closing credits compliments the scenes and adds more energy to the action.
As far as the editing goes, it also makes a lot of sense. One scene would be agitated, so they’d have an action sequence.
Then they’d go on to do another action scene, but then they would cut to a quieter scene, and the music would be playing in the background. Then they’d go back to the action, and so on. It was excellent.
My personal Experience
I like the way the story was told, and it wasn’t your typical superhero movie.
The plot was fascinating because of how it was told. It’s a pretty long film, so it was nice to have a long journey through the story. It made you care about the characters, and you just felt like the world was coming to life.
Even though this movie was excellent and I liked it, I still think the trailers did a better job explaining what it was about, so I want to see it next time. If you see it, you’ll understand what I’m talking about.
How Justice League Team Up
The year is 2020, and an elderly but still very spry Superman (Henry Cavill) finds himself in a different place than usual when a call goes out for a Justice League team to save the world from many new supervillains DC has been working on.
The group consists of Batman (Ben Affleck), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), and Cyborg.
He is from the DC universe and Superman’s son from the DC universe. To say this is just an ordinary team would be an understatement, at least as far as the DC universe is concerned.
The entire thing seems to be a mashup of all the DC heroes mixed in one team, which should be good for a few laughs.
So how does this movie fare? Well, it’s pretty entertaining if you’re a fan of superhero movies, especially DC.
I enjoyed the story, and there were a lot of cameos of the DC characters I hadn’t seen since the 90s and 00s, like Green Lantern, The Penguin, The Creeper, and Lex Luthor, just to name a few.
The movie itself isn’t perfect, and it isn’t a true DC story, in the sense that Superman isn’t the only hero that gets the main focus. You’ll still see moments with the Justice League, but there’s just something missing.
A little story with all the DC characters working together could have been the perfect mix, or at least that’s what I would have liked to see.
Cavill is still good as Superman, but he gets the spotlight, which isn’t what we’ve seen in other Superman movies. It’s much more of a team-up film, as the Justice League is put together from the new characters in this movie.
This movie doesn’t quite gel with other DC movies; the only ones that work together are The Justice League, Suicide Squad, and Batman vs. Superman.
The three that did work together are some of my favorite superhero movies, and I feel this movie isn’t quite as good as the others.
It’s almost like it’s the only one that isn’t an actual DC movie. I have a feeling that there’s some behind-the-scenes drama at play, considering there’s a Justice League movie coming out, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Despite all that, this movie is still a lot of fun, especially if you’re a Superman fan. It’s one of my favorite superhero movies, and even though it’s been hyped up to be a Justice League movie, it is.
If you liked the Justice League movie or didn’t like it, you should check this movie out. I promise you it will be a lot of fun.
